A Full Stage Production in the Works

More than a century ago, the Fred Harvey Company and the Santa Fe Railway began a partnership that would forever change the way Americans view the Southwest, its Native peoples, and Native American art.  Mary Jane Colter, the Harvey Company’s Chief Architect and Designer, designed Phantom Ranch, Hopi House, and six other buildings at the Grand Canyon, along with a host of other buildings, including her crown jewel, La Posada in Winslow, Arizona.

Supporting the Full Stage Production

Major efforts are underway for a full production of Fred and Mary: An Unconventional Romance at the Elks Opera House during Arizona’s Centennial Celebration in 2012. This acclaimed play, already refined through staged readings throughout Northern Arizona, will transport Arizonans back in time to our state’s pioneering past where the audience will encounter some of the historic figures who made Arizona what it is today. But a production like this requires significant community support—like yours.

We encourage you to support Arizona’s heritage, by becoming a Fred and Mary Centennial benefactor or sponsor.
