Senior Textbook Writer/Editor — 4-12 educational materials for outside development houses on projects for major educational publishers—including McDougal Littell, Harcourt, Ginn and Co., Scholastic, Scott Foresman, Houghton Mifflin, CTB/McGraw-Hill, Oxford University Press, Computer Curriculum Corporation, D.C. Heath, Goodyear Books, and Weekly Reader. Work includes writing supplementary readers, pupil pages, and teacher-support materials in reading, language arts, social studies and science—including ESL, literature, spelling, vocabulary, writing, grammar, library and study skills, testing, multiple intelligences, and environmental awareness. Many projects include creating cross-curricular and multicultural activities, extension activities for multiple developmental levels, activities for family involvement, and character development.
